IMG_0071Jakarta Model United Nations 2016 sets its sight on raising the awareness that the international issues and challenges are no longer characterized solely by the military and the traditional security issues, but also those that pose threats to our effort in achieving better civilization.

These challenges vary from food security, and poverty to transnational crime, and climate change. Accordingly, the participants will realize that strengthening cooperation among nations and actors involved is fundamental in facing the challenges that have now become the common threat to the face of human race.

The motivation of choosing “Engraving History: Facing the Challenge of Civilization” as the grand theme of JMUN 2016 is to encourage the participants to explore the characteristics and dynamics of international politics.

Presumably, during the process, the participants will learn that cooperation is one of the key elements in facing the challenges to civilization and together engrave history.

This year, Jakarta Model United Nations (JMUN) 2016 will be held on 20-24 July 2016!

Deadline: 18 June 2016.
